Synopsis:

Dokita Musa follows Musa, an 11-year-old boy with a heart full of dreams and a mind set on becoming a cardiologist. Despite his ambition and intelligence, Musa’s life is overshadowed by the harsh realities of poverty, family dysfunction, and cycles of violence in his village. As he faces these challenges, Musa discovers that the path to his dreams may cost more than he’s prepared to give. A powerful narrative of hope and survival, Dr. Musa delves into the resilience of the human spirit and the complexities of societal struggles.

Lanre Obisesan is a Nigerian-American filmmaker whose journey from healthcare to cinema is
fueled by a profound passion for storytelling. Born in New York City and raised in Ibadan,
Nigeria, Lanre initially pursued a career in pharmacy, spending years as a pharmacist. His
creative instincts led him to filmmaking, a path he fully embraced after more than a decade of
balancing both professions. Lanre's early short films, including "Claridad" and "By the Tracks,"
garnered awards at festivals such as the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival, New
Mexico Showcase, Las Vegas Film Festival, and El Paso Film Festival. Specializing in
psychological dramas, his work delves into themes of identity and the human condition.
Currently, Lanre is developing his first feature film, "Dr. Musa," and his next 4 projects, "The
Killer.", “The Weight of Silence”, and “Masks in the Sun”, Beyond filmmaking, he is also a
singer-songwriter under the alter ego Lanre’ Obiskenti, drawing inspiration from a diverse range
of musical influences.

Felix Olojede is a prolific filmmaker and photographer with an exceptional eye for detail and a
passion for meaningful storytelling. A graduate of Mass Communication from Osun State Polytechnic and trained at the Whistling Woods Film and Media School in Mumbai, India, Felix has over a decade of experience in production and content development. He has collaborated
with both local and international brands, contributing to projects like Beyoncé’s "Black is King," Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Guinness, Martell, GTB, Tecno, SuperSports, Zee World, Nivea, MTN, and the TV series "Bob Hearts Abishola." As the founder of 14011 Motion Pictures, a Lagos-based production company, Felix offers services in visual and audio production for commercials, films, music videos, photography, show running, and service production. He has produced films such as "The Call," "The Cleanser," and "Last Request," all available on Netflix. Felix also serves as the Content Director for the Zee World Dance reality TV show and is the producer of "Dr.
Musa." His explorative nature extends to music, having written and produced theme songs for
popular TV series like "Dear Mother," "Spider," "Gbajumo Osere," and "Breaking Out." Felix's passion for visual storytelling is evident in his photography exhibition titled "Take A Piece Of
Me," which showcases moments captured throughout his journey.

He is known for instilling discipline and humility in his students, emphasizing the importance of body movement, voice, and emotional intelligence in performance. Despite the challenges actors faced in the early years of Nigerian theatre and cinema, Adeyemo remained committed to his craft and is now celebrated as one of the pioneers who helped elevate the Nollywood industry to its current status as an international cultural force.
